Institutional mixed rags are garments and textiles that were displayed in retail or thrift store environments but remained unsold. The trade also calls this stock mixed rags, institutional rags, or thrift store rags. Unlike credential clothing, these goods have been handled and displayed, but they move in greater volume than any other stream we ship, and they supply graders and wholesalers around the world consistently.
For a grading operation, mixed rags for export are the workhorse input: steady volume, known composition, and pricing that supports high-throughput sorting.

Baled: mixed rags bales of 600 to 1000 lbs, loaded directly into 40' High Cube containers.
Loose: loose institutional mixed rag clothing loaded directly into the container, subject to volume. Contact us for current availability.

What is inside a mixed rags bale
All clothing categories are included: ladies', men's, children's and babies' wear across all seasons and sizes. No pre-sorting by category, mixed exactly as received from institutional sources. Shoes, belts and accessories appear in the stream in smaller quantities.
Composition varies by collection region, which is why we source across North America, Europe and Australia rather than from a single market.
Shipping and documentation
Mixed rags ship as full 40' High Cube loads, bolt sealed, with complete export documentation: Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice with HS 6309 classification, Packing List with weight breakdown, and Certificate of Origin where applicable.
